Class 8, Painting a Honey Bee

The idea for this class came from a painting of Springtime with bees, a trellis gate, birds, foliage, vegetation and sunshine.
Everyone was asked to draw a honey bee from memory and imagination at the beginning of class. Five minutes were allotted to draw.
Next, everyone was asked to study these honey bee illustrations and draw the bee again and paint it with watercolor.

We then moved outdoors to paint. Two choices were suggested. Either explore a garden design or paint a view of the yard. Above is an example of a garden design done by a visiting architect friend in a restaurant in Medina for the site below.
